Joey De Leon is once again in the controversy after netizens notice his caption in his Instagram post were he can be seen floating on a dead sea.

“Nuknukan ka na ng katangahan pag sa DEAD SEA nalunod ka pa!” 





He got bashed after this photos saying he is being insensitive again. Netizens connect his post to Hashtags member Franco Hernandez who had a tragic demise recently.

Netizens also noticed Teddy Corpuz tweet in what seems an response to Joey's controversial photos.

Some netizens do some research about Joey's caption and this is what they found:

No this is not true. The Dead Sea is a hypersaline lake. These means it is super salty. Due to its unusually high salt content, the water of the Dead Sea is high in density. And anything less dense than the Dead Sea water floats on top.

This is why most people float easily atop the Dead Sea because their bodily fluids are all less dense than the water. But if you found a rock or any other object that was denser than the saline water, it would sink.

The water of Dead Sea is having the density of 1.240 kg/L , All of that salt is dissolved in the water, making the whole lake much denser than normal water, due to which swimming in Dead Sea is almost synonymous to floating. That is why it is said that nobody ever drowns in the Dead Sea.
