We all know that depression is not a joke and a lot of teens been suffering this, some still fighting and some experience defeat.

And who would have thought that Kathryn Bernardo also suffered from depression



According to an interview with PUSH, Kathryn suffered from depression last 2016 Presidential Elections. when she and Daniel Padilla got severely bashed on social media after they announced that they're endorsing Mar Roxas.



“Kung iisa-isahin ko, ang dami talaga. Pero siguro ang pinaka-malala ‘yung last election. Dumating ako sa point na nagkulong ako sa kuwarto,” 

“As in, hindi ako lumalabas. Sobrang na-depress ako nu’ng na-receive naming pangba-bash sa lahat ng tao noong time na ‘yun. And until today, kapag nag-social media ka.

She added “That’s why, I turned off my comment section and sa Twitter, sobrang bihira na kong mag-Twitter, kasi ang bilis kumapit lang, especially before,”

Kathryn and Dj have joined the campaign to fight and raise awareness about cyberbullying and they are very active in promoting this.

“Ang daming puwedeng sabihin sa amin, especially nga public figure kaming pareho. Siguro naging magandang move talaga namin at advocacy namin ay ito pong fight cyberbullying.

“Ayaw po namin na next five years, next ten years, mas lalo pa itong lumala. Kasi na-feel namin kung gaano siya kahirap, kung ano ang struggle na napi-feel mo kapag ikaw ang nabu-bully mismo sa social media.

“We don’t want to continue that, sana maging stepping stone ito ng lahat para mas maging aware na seryoso ‘tong bagay na ‘to,”

  1. Minsan Ironic lang.. kase yung iba ayaw nila mabully pero ginagawa nila yung mali. Mali na mam-bully at mali mam-bash ng tao lalo na hindi natin sila lubos na kilala.. sarili lang natin ang lubos nating kilala kaya kung ayaw natin mabully at mabash wag tayo gumawa ng alam nating mali. Sa sarili nga magsisimula ang pagbabago tulad ng sinasabi ng iba tyaka tayo manghawa ng iba sa pamamagitan ng pagiging mabuting ehemplo sa kanila. One way din siguro ito para maiwasan ang depression na minsan tayo din ang dahilan kung bakit nangyayari. We all have the chance and right to voice out our ideas and opinions pero mas better siguro kung itry muna natin sa sarili natin para masabi natin na hindi lang tayo nagmamarunong kundi well tested na, di ba? Fight for depression!
