Celebrities can be very influencial as they are in the big screens. They often show the fans what a good role model should be. But sometimes, they are the ones who were badly influenced by people that surrounds them. It is their peers that turned them contrary to their big screen roles.

In this list, you will find several celebrities that ruined their career as stardom began to shine brighter. They might be involved in different illegal activities that caught the attention of people or took the wrong path of their lives.

JM de Guzman

JM de Guzman shaved his head days after former girlfriend Jessy Mendiola confirmed their split, even appeared to dare his father Ronniel de Guzman "Are you going to send me to rehab again?"

JM entered a drug rehabilitation center back in 2014. He also confirmed that it was the reason behind his year-long absence from showbiz. After that, he was dropped from the show, "All of me," where he stars with Yen Santos and Albert Martinez. He was also dropped from the MMFF entry "Walang Forever" And replaced by Jericho Rosales because of the same issues/rumors.

Alma Moreno

In the interview with Karen Davila that aired on November 11, 2015. Moreno spoke about advocasy for women's right, her stand on same-sex marriage, and the reproductive health law, among other topics. 

She claimed having "reservations" over the RH law, but could not cite one when pressed for specifics "Kailangan pa bang sagutin [yan]?" She instead asked. Her comments on these issues and her reactions to the questions, however became the topic of ridicule among social media users. The video of her interview became viral, as netizens started churning out countless versions of memes that poke fun at her. The interview also resulted in her own hastag #prayforAlma. This is probably one of the reasons why she lost her senatorial bid last election despite having a high popularity percentage. 

Baron Geisler

There may never be a person with such a reported array of misdemeanors than the human brewery Baron Geisler. And admittedly, he says it has something to do with his beer-loving persona. 

He has ruined his career hundred times over but this controversy that he got into might be the end of his career. In a lengthy Facebook post, Medina angrily recalled the incident that happened while they were taping in Subic. Hero Angeles

The end result of everything was the release of Hero from his contract with the network at the brothers' own initiative. After facing a series of controversies with ABS-CBN executives as well as members of the press, Angeles slowly stepped out of the limelight.

Michelle Liggayu

The YouTube star come up with a controversy when she had a misunderstanding with Maricar Sebastian, the mother of her long-time boyfriend Jam who passed away on 2015 after battling lung cancer. This was after Maricar claimed in a TV interview that Mich is getting the income share of Jam from their online Jamich page accounts. She said she couldn't stomach the treatment she was getting from Mich. Maricar also said she believed the online personality was in a relationship with newbie singer Neo Domingo. 

After the issue, her booming career was put into a stop and her massive following on YouTube has been slowly dying.

Anjanette Abayari

In 1999 the pretty, alluring Anjanette was jailed in Guam, wore a prisoner’s suit and had to post bail for possession of shabu. The illegal drug was found in her belongings upon landing in the airport. She may have secured her freedom already today but because of the incident then-President Estrada declared her persona non grata putting a stop to her stellar career in Las Islas.

It was perhaps the final blow to Abayari’s career in the archipelago. To note, the dusky buxom beauty won the Bb. Pilipinas – Universe crown in 1991 but was unable to represent the country as she is an American citizen.

And you wouldn’t believe it had it not been reported. One of the most promising star who had a slew of super-successful films in his childhood, was arrested in possession of the illegal substance. He was 35 years old.

NiƱo Muhlach

QC Police were tipped about the transaction but they themselves were surprised to see the famous actor, real name Angelo Jose Rocha Muhlach. He was handed the illegal substance by a woman peddler in a Shopwise supermarket.

John Wayne Sace

John Wayne Sace came to prominence after being part of the defunct ASAP all-male dance group AnimE along with Rayver Cruz, Rodjun Cruz, Oliver Mhyco Aquino, Sergio Garcia, Emman Abeleda and Mico Aytona. On October 12, 2016, the former teen star and his friend identified as Erik Sabino accumulated injuries after a riding in tandem shot them in Pasig City.
Pasig City police confirmed that two are on the drugs watch list for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Jiro Manio

He starred in Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat. In 2004, he won the Best Actor and Gaward Urian plus Best Child Actor award at Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS) for the movie Magnifico.

He was a member of ABS-CBN TV network's elite circle of homegrown talent, trained in its Star Magic programme, from 1999 until June 2009 when the network terminated him for unprofessional behavior. Manio later became a drug addict and fathered two daughters named Sisha Calliope and Mishka Caxiopeia out of wedlock with his longtime partner.

On May 18, 2011, the news programme TV Patrol confirmed that Manio underwent rehabilitation treatment for drug addiction. He then entered a drug rehabilitation facility after realizing that he was throwing his life away.[5] With the encouragement of his father, Andrew, and his manager, Magnifico director Maryo J. delos Reyes, he committed himself to the Home Care rehabilitation center, where he underwent therapy for almost a year.
