Cariza "Aiza" Yamson Seguerra is a Filipino actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist. After participating on Eat Bulaga!'s Little Miss Philippines 1987 he became a child star starring in several movies and TV shows.[1] Later in his teens, he pursued a career in music spawning his major hit single, Pagdating ng Panahon (When the Time Comes). Initially coming out as a lesbian in 2007, Seguerra now identifies himself as a transgender man.

In 2007, August Seguerra came out publicly as a lesbian. However in August 2014, he came out as a transgender.

After coming out and up to this day netizens love Aiza Seguerra for his contribution in our music industry. But his recent post in his Instagram account drew mix reactions to netizens.

iceseguerra Maybe I need to come out quarterly dito sa IG

Dear Family and Friends,

I am a TRANSGENDER MAN. Ibig sabihin, pinanganak man akong may vagina, I identify myself as a man. Gets? TRANSMAN po yun. May ilang taon na rin ang nakakalipas when I first came out. Yes, I came out as transman 3 times already. May iba siguro sa inyo ang hindi pa nakakaalam but mas maraming alam na 'to.

This is just a reminder. PLEASE REFRAIN from calling me ATE, TITA, SIS, NINANG (mga inaanak, subukan niyong tawagin akong ninang, I swear wala kayong regalo sa pasko), SENYORA, MA'AM, at ang favorite ko sa lahat MADAME. Huwag din po gamitin ang she, her, at kung ano pa.

This is how I see myself and I would appreciate if people around me, especially family and friends, will respect that. If you do not understand kung ano ang transman, PM me and I will gladly explain.
Also, please CALL ME ICE.
Yes. ICE.
Yun lang po. Maraming salamat!

Here are some of netizens reaction in Fashion Pulis site:

"uo nga naman, may pinakasalan siyang babae tapos ang tawag sa kanya "madame""

"Kung babae ang tingin nya sa sarili nya, and kinasal sa babae, pwede pa rin madame. Ibig sqbihin lesbian ang relationship. Kaso Ice considers himself a man, na straight kasi babae ang minamahal nya. Iba ang lesbian (babae pa rin ang tingin sa sarili pero babae ang minamahal) at transman (pinanganak na babae ngunit lalaki ang tingin sa sarili). I know nakakalito. I had to wrap my hear around it as well."

"Aiza, when a person calls you ma'am, sis, tita, ate, etc., that person is just staying true to his faith and belief in God. Sa mata Ng Diyos, isa kang babae. If I call you Sir even if deep down I know that you're a woman, I'll be betraying God and my conscience. Pasensya na pero that's the consequence of the life you chose. You have to deal and live with it. You cannot expect people to bend their morals, faith, values, and belief just so they don't offend you."

"Obviously faith in God doesn't teach everyone the meaning of basic respect. And I am referring toe very commentor above me.
Your personal conviction is to deliberately call someone something they have asked you not to call them- because God? The self-righteousness is beyond belief."

"Im a gay but i dont consider myself as a transgender woman why simplt because i dont have vagina and im a man but i am gay.. Advice ko lang sau aiza you are a lesbian not a man wala ka nman penis di ba? So pano pag sinabi kong mas mabigat ang langgam sa elepante kasi ayon yung paniniwala ko so kelangan irespeto nyo yun kasi opinion ko at paniniwala ko pero reality mali naman ako.. Just like ikaw aiza you said you are a TMAN pero wala ka naman facts at evidence na lalaki ka talaga.. Sana wag kang lumayo sa realidad!"

"I'm also a gay man pero naiinis din ako sa transwoman o transman. Alam na alam naman nila na lalaki o babae sila kapag umiihi. Nag iilusyon ba. Tsk. Niloloko ng mga trans ang sarili nila."

"Pasensya na Ice ang hirap kasi magmaintain ng listahan ng mga dapat itawag sa mga VIP na katulad mo e"

"ang yabang at sungit ng dating. pwede naman magrequest nang maayos. parang the universe owes her and is required to call her the way she pleases. OA. And yes, she is still a she."

Since coming out as a transman, Aiza then married model and actress Liza Diño in Califonia. And now the two were celebrating their 3rd year anniversary.

Mahal ko, kung mayroon man nagbago mula nitong araw na 'to, mas masaya ako, mas lumalim pa ang respeto ko sa iyo, mas mahal kita at mas patay na patay ako sa iyo ngayon.

I love being married to you. You are my secret keeper. You keep me grounded yet you make me fly. You make me the saddest but you also make me the happiest. You make me feel so many things that I get so overwhelmed sometimes (di ako sanay to deal with my emotions). My life with you is like a roller coaster and I've never felt soooo alive.

It is and will always be my life's goal to make you the happiest. I hope you know that I will always be here for you. Andito ako para makinig sa mga ramblings mo at 3am, I will always pick you up and drop you off sa airports kahit pa tumitilaok ang mga manok dahil sa aga.

You can be sure that even if things are quite different now, my love for you will grow more and more. Mas miss lang kita ngayon pero mas naaappreciate ko yung time na nakakasama kita more than ever.

I just want to tell you again na sobrang proud ako sa iyo. I am your number 1 fan love. Basta nandito lang ako whether you feel like you're at your highest especially when you're at your lowest. If the world feels too much for you, you can always come back to me and I'll be here, ready to listen and embrace you with all my might.

You are my bestest friend in the world and I am so blessed that you are my wife.
I love you so much, my Liza. Happy 3rd Anniversary!
