Toni Gonzaga Clarifies Things In Her Hosting Stint In Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6.

Toni Gonzaga is a resident of Taytay, Rizal and the eldest daughter of Carlito and Crisanta Gonzaga, who also act as her talent manager. Her sister, Catherine "Cathy" Gonzaga, professionally known as Alex Gonzaga, is also an actress and television host. In Taytay, she was an elected Barangay Kagawad for one term and a Sunday school teacher in Taytay United Methodist Church. She studied mass communication at the Dominican College in San Juan for two years. Later, she transferred to the Asian Institute for Distance Education (AIDE) and shifted her major to AB English, which she wasn't able to finish due to her busy showbiz schedule. She is currently enrolled at the University of the Philippines Open University taking up her bachelor's degree in multimedia studies. Gonzaga is an active member of the United Methodist Church.

On 1 February 2015, Gonzaga announced her engagement to director Paul Soriano, her boyfriend of eight years, on The Buzz and married on 12 June 2015 at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Taytay, Rizal. In February 2016, a source announced that the couple was expecting their first child, due in late 2016 or early 2017. Gonzaga herself confirmed the announcement on ASAP on 17 April 2016. Gonzaga gave birth to their son, Severiano Elliott, on 30 September 2016.

Pilipinas Got Talent is a Filipino reality talent competion. It is based on the Got Talent franchise aired in Kapamilya network ABS-CBN. Anyone can join and showcase their talents in the audition. The first season aired on February 20, 2010. The show hosts were Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano.

But this PGT season 6 Luis Manzano will no longer part of the show. Netizens speculates that the management and the franchise chose Angel Locsin over Luis Manzano. As we all know Angel Locsin is Luis ex girlfriend and seems they're not in good terms.

Luis Manzano response to this topic via Twitter when someone asked him

"Something new for everyone :) i opted out for the betterment of the show :)"

It is Toni Gonzaga who will replace Luis Manzano in PGT Season 6. And here's Toni's reaction when she got the news about PGT in an interview with PEP.ph

“Siyempre, nagulat ako, kasi parang it came out of nowhere na biglang tinawagan kami ni Direk Loren.

“I think just for this season. I’m not sure if I’ll be with the show next season.

“Just for this season, special host lang.

Toni was touched when she learned Luis said she is an "Upgrade" for the show.

“Naks! Di naman.

“Show namin ni Luis yun and ni Billy.

“We are all family in ABS. We’re here to support and love each other...

“Be there for each other kung anong show ang i-assign sa atin ng management.

“Wala pa namang PBB and wala pa namang other shows that I'm doing, so ayos naman siya sa schedule ko, so I said yes.”

“I’m friends with Vice, I’m friends with Angel, all of them, Sir FMG [former ABS-CBN president and CEO Freddie M. Garcia] and si Mr. Robin Padilla.”
