Because of fame and power, some celebrities found theirselves on the wrong path of their lives and having trouble making it back to their old selves. Some of their former co-workmates gave time and effort just to settle everything down and make their lives better again.

Here are the list of some of celebrities who had struggle on their lives.

Jiro Manio

Hitting rock bottom, for friends and supporters of Manio, was a situation they prayed that he could manage to avoid.

But alas, following years of hardships -- from the death of his mother, Manio later became a drug addict and fathered two daughters named Sisha Calliope and Mishka Caxiopeia out of wedlock with his longtime partner.

On June 30, 2015, Manio was spotted wandering around Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. Manio, who was scavenging for food and living off the kindness of airport staff, had apparently run away and gone missing from his Cainta four days before, following a supposed altercation with relatives

Wearing dirty clothes and with long nails and scratches on his neck, an apparently disoriented Manio told reporters at NAIA that he was never an actor.

For his former manager who sponsored his first rehabilitation, director Maryo delos Reyes, it was also a sign that Manio was now in need of psychiatric help.

In photos, here's a look back at other stars who hit a low point in their lives.

Mark Anthony Fernandez

The 36-year-old actor, who rose to fame as one-third of Gwapings in "Palibhasa Lalake," took an extended break from showbiz as he underwent rehabilitation for drug addiction. His return to acting was unsuccessful, however, as had a second rehab stint in 2003. This time, his showbiz comeback yielded consecutive years of starring roles. Fernandez remains active on screen and currently appears in a GMA-7 drama series.

On 3 October 2016, Fernandez was arrested for marijuana possession after attempting to elude a police checkpoint in Angeles, Pampanga. He has stated he smokes marijuana "to prevent cancer". After a year, on 23 December 2017, Fernandez had been released from jail due to dismissal of drug case against him.

Alma Concepcion

The 39-year-old actress was arrested in Guam in 1998 for carrying shabu in her handbag. She was acquitted and her US visa was reactivated less than a year later. "But the 27 days in Guam were the loneliest I ever spent in my entire life," she told the Philippine Star in a 2002 interview. "Those days made me realize what a danger drugs could be. The experience made me swear never to get involved in anything like that again."

Anjanette Abayari

The former "Darna" star recalls as the "toughest" experience her controversial arrest in Guam for illegal possession of drugs in 1999. Because of the incident, she was declared persona non grata by then-President Joseph Estrada. Abayari, who now has two children, recently returned to the Philippines and said she is open to making a showbiz comeback.

Anjanette Abayari has been visiting the country once in a while now.

However, she did not divulge if she’s going to return to show business. But she is not closing her doors to venture in the world of entertainment.

Nora Aunor

The 62-year-old film icon was arrested in California in 2005 for possession of shabu. According to reports, the charges against Aunor was dropped after she pleaded no contest, paid a fine, and agreed to undergo rehabilitation. The drug case, however, cost her a proclamation as National Artist under the Aquino administration.

Baron Geisler

The 33-year-old actor and former "Ang TV" mainstay confessed to being addicted to alcohol after the death of his father. He also admitted being bipolar, for which he has been undergoing strict medication. Despite successfully undergoing rehabilitation for alcohol dependence, Geisler faced several other controversies over the years -- among them numerous bar scuffles which resulted with two scars on his cheek, and four separate accusations of sexual harassment, including complaints from actresses Cherry Pie Picache and Julia Clarete.

Arnel Pineda

The Journey frontman, admitted for the first time in 2013 that he struggled with addiction to drugs and alcohol, losing his voice in the process. Pineda considers that time as his life's lowest point, saying his career triumphs came as soon as he decided to overcome his vices.

JM de Guzman

After a year-long hiatus from showbiz, the 26-year-old actor opened up in 2014 about his battle with drug addiction. He successfully underwent rehabilitation and has made a successful showbiz comeback. De Guzman also rekindled his relationship with actress Jessy Mendiola, who earlier admitted that his drug problem was one of the reasons behind their separation.

In 2015, after a series of disturbing and cryptic messages posted on his Instagram account, De Guzman later apologized and stated via Instagram post that Mendiola was not the reason for their second breakup nor she and station ABS-CBN would be blamed for his recent actions and behavior. He further claimed that he has been recently struggling with anxiety attacks, depression and bipolar disorder.

On December 6, 2017, he decided for his return to Star Magic.
